Der Begriff Halberts führt auf Dr. Halbert L. Dunn (1896-1975) zurück, welcher das Wort Wellness neu aufgegriffen und das Konzept des Wohlbefindens eingeführt hat. Er stellte die These auf, dass Gesundheit ein Zustand des vollständigen körperlichen, geistigen und sozialen Wohlbefindens sei - diese These ist ganz in unserem Sinn.
